Registration

To enroll, you have the choice between two possibilities:

the completed registration form must be returned by mail accompanied by the total course fees.
it is also possible to register on line on our web sites.
You may also return the registration form by fax or e-mail (as attached document) in order to get a priority treatment of your registration, but a reservation can only be guaranteed when the full payment for the course has been received by ACCORD.
In case of payment by transfer, a copy of the bank transfer document must be joined to the registration form, and an extra 80 Euros must be added for French Bank charges.
 
Administration costs for the arrangement and reservation of your accommodation


These costs are of 80 euro and must be paid with the enrolment. Should you cancel your stage these costs are non refundable. You must pay 80 euro administrative costs should you desire to change your accommodation during your stay. Should you arrange your accommoda­tion independently from ACCORD and on arrival in France or during your stay you desire to benefit from the ACCORD reservation service to change your accommodation, you will have to pay 100 euro administrative fees.

 

Confirmation of registration

A confirmation of your enrolment together with an invoice will be sent to you by mail (and by fax or e-mail if it has been requested on the registration form).
 
Visa

Should you come from outside the European Community and desire to stay in France for more the 3 months, you may need a visa “long séjour” (or “visa d’études longues durées”). In this case you will be required to supply the pre-enrolment certificate which we will send you on reception of the enrolment form and payment of the deposit.

 

Cancellation

In case of cancellation for medical reasons (a medical certificate must be sent to ACCORD by registered mail) the full amount received by ACCORD will be refunded (bank transfer fees deducted).

 

Cancellation fees

Should your visa be refused, and on presentation of the original document from the French Embassy proving this, ACCORD will refund you in full less 200 euro administrative fees and 80 euro for bank transfer costs. Refunds are done only by Bank transfer. No refund if you don’t provide an original document by the French Embassy. Copies and photocopies are refused and not considered as original documents.

Should you be unable to attend for medical or professional reasons (a medical or professional certificate must be sent to us by express mail) your stay will be postponed within a period of 12 months after the reception of the certificate. Refund possible under mentioned sales conditions.

For all other cases :

Should you cancel your stay more than one month in advance, ACCORD will refund you 70% of the fees paid, less 250 euro administrative fees and 80 euro for Bank transfer. Refunds are done only by Bank transfer.

Should you cancel three or four weeks before your starting date (Monday for the course, Sunday if you asked for an accommodation), ACCORD will refund you 60% of the fees paid, less 250 euro administrative fees and 80 euro for Bank transfer. Refunds are done only by
Bank transfer.

Should you cancel one or two weeks before your starting date (Monday for the course, Sunday if you asked for an accommodation), ACCORD will refund you 40% of the fees paid, less 250 euro administrative fees and 80 euro for Bank transfer. Refunds are done only by Bank
transfer.

No refund after the first date of your stay (Monday for a registration for a course only – Sunday for a registration including an accommodation booked by ACCORD).

Should the school be obliged to cancel your course you will be refund in full. No Bank or administrative fees will be charged to you.

 

Late course arrival

Students arriving to the course more than 15 minutes past the time of course begin must wait for the break to enter the classroom.
   
Absence and course interruption

Registering for a course means that you are committing yourself to attend it regularly.
You cannot claim any refund if you miss classes or if you decide to drop your course (this excludes absence for proven medical cause on presentation of medical certificate).
You cannot claim any refund if you decide to stop your course and/or your stay in France.

 

Claims

Claims must be addressed to the Direction of the school that will decide on course refund and recuperation matters.
All claims concerning ACCORD and FORUM ACCORD services must be made by registered letter to FORUM ACCORD, 14 bd Poissonnière, 75009 Paris, France, on the week following the end of the course.
Legal claims will be treated by the “Tribunaux de Paris”.

 

Behaviour

Should a student show an abnormal behaviour or bad intentions ACCORD reserves the right to exclude him from the school at any time, at his own expenses.

 

Insurance

ACCORD declines all responsibility for thefts, damages or losses. Both parties agree that ACCORD will not be disturbed for those matters. Before arriving in France you must verify your personal insurance. All students younger than 18 years of age must joint a copy of their insurance policy to their enrolment form.

Personal expenses

We suggest students get travellers cheques. On arrival, the students will give their pocket money or travellers cheques to the tour leaders who will keep it safely and give it back weekly to the students. Parents may also transfer the pocket money to our bank giving us precise instructions on the way they wish to give it to their child.

 

Use of photographic material

ACCORD may take photographs of students in order to illustrate its brochure. Should the participant disagree he/she or his/her parents must precise this refuse in writing on the registration form.
 
Language courses are not held and not refunded on national and local French holidays :

Language courses are not held and not refunded on national and local French holidays :April 17th, May 8th, May 25th,June 5th, July 14th, August 15th, November 1st 2006.
The school will be closed from Saturday December 23th 2006 to Sunday January 7th 2007 included. School opens Monday 8th January 2007.

 

Deposit

A 80€ deposit must be paid on arrival, in cash or signed traveller's cheques. This deposit will be given back to the student on departure provided there hasn't been any damages done in the room, and the key is handed back. This deposit may also be used to cover medical or pharmaceutical expenses.
 
Prices
Shown prices and sales conditions are applied from 1st January to 31st December 2006.

 

Payment
To enrol, the completed registration form must be returned accompanied by the deposit or the total fees in case you enrol for less than 4 weeks (course fees and accommodation costs).
You will get by post an invoice detailing the payment received and the amount due after your arrival if that is the case.
For payment by bank transfer please enclose copy of payment form.
Started courses are due and must be paid in full on the first day of term at the latest.
   
Methods of payment

Your payment must be made in Euro. You may pay by:
- Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Eurocard or American Express)
- Cheque or Euro-cheque to Forum ACCORD
- Bank Transfer : Please add 80 Euros to cover bank charges.
