This course is designed to give you an introduction
to French culture and civilisation.
It is essentially a class based on the discussion
of a central theme which will be proposed and
guided by the teacher. Depending on current events
and students expectations, subjects such as the
following ones may be selected :
• The French language
and its historical background
• The press in France
• The art of Wine tasting and Cheese making
• French cuisine
• The French educational system
• The French revolution
• French popular music
• Television-Radio broadcasts
• French traditions and customs
• Important dates in the French calendar
• Fashion

Morning
French courses
Mornings will be dedicated to your French
lessons: • 20 lessons x 45 min per week
from 8.45 to 12 noon
• A maximum of 12 students per class.
• Varied tools will be used, such as: comic strips, newspaper articles,
video...
Afternoon
French courses
• 4 French
lessons x 45 minutes per week.
• Tuesday to Friday,
12.15pm to 1.00 pm.
• A maximum of 8 students
per class (minimum of 2 students required).
OBSERVATIONS:
• Subscription to this course can only be
done after your arrival at the school.
