Specialised French on the Riviera: French Art & Literature
This course is designed to introduce you to
French Art and Literature.
It is essentially a class based on the discussion
of a central theme that will be proposed and
guided by the teacher. Depending on current events
and the desire of the students, subjects such
as the following will be selected:
• Great/classic
French films
• Modern cinema and contempory Art
• The classic periods in literature
• Great French poets
• The Major twentieth century writers
• Classic and comtempory drama and comedy
• French popular music
• Comic strips
• French architecture
• French sculpture
Discussions will be based
on the text of selected works and/or
the use of audio-visual documents (film extracts,
documentaries, T.V or radio programs,
songs etc...)
Morning
French courses
Mornings will be dedicated to your French
lessons: • 20 lessons x 45 min per week
from 8.45 to 12 noon
• A maximum of 12 students per class.
• Varied tools will be used, such as: comic strips, newspaper articles,
video...
Afternoon
French courses
• 4 French
lessons x 45 minutes per week.
• Tuesday to Friday,
12.15pm to 1.00 pm.
• A maximum of 8 students
per class (minimum of 2 students required).
OBSERVATIONS:
• Subscription to this course can only be
done after your arrival at the school.
